About the Tour

The weekend begins with an introductory art instruction session in Ganges Harbour on the Friday evening before we go out on the water on Saturday morning. On our first full day of kayaking we will paddle over to a pristine Marine Park. Our Marine Park Kayak Tours allow you to get away from it all and explore the natural wonders of the Gulf Islands. We launch our kayaks from a quiet spot on Salt Spring Island that allows us easier access to the parks and protection from the winds. Wildlife sightings are common on our Marine Park Tours — watch for eagles and their nests, river otters, harbour seals, sea lions, great blue herons, mink, porpoise, and a whole host of underwater life. Lunch will be served at our beautiful Marine Park, and spend the afternoon painting and drawing the awe inspiring scenery around you throughout the island and looking out at the ocean. Dinner will be prepared to cap off the amazing day, and then a paddle back at sunset to Salt Spring to part ways for the evening.

On the second day of our paint and paddle weekend, we set out to explore Ganges Harbour and the chain of beautiful Islands it has. Our Ganges Harbour Kayaking is a calm and peaceful place to paddle and soak up the beauty of our Gulf Islands. The safe and calm waters of Ganges Harbour ensure an easy paddle, enabling you to explore the intertidal zone and get up close and personal with a sea stars, discover the wonder of First Nations middens, experience the meditative, yet energizing experience that is sea kayaking, and have a whole lot of fun on the water. Pull up to a beautiful white shell beach and find your perfect spot along the island to find inspiration for another day of creating beautiful art. Paddle back before dinner to say our goodbyes and share our work we have created.
